Bávaro is a place in the municipal district of Verón Punta Cana, dependent on the municipality of Higüey in the province of La Altagracia, Dominican Republic. It was originally conceived as a dormitory town for the workers of the tourist complex of Punta Cana, but it has been transformed into a center of tourist services due to the hotel expansion to the north of Punta Cana, around Bávaro beach; thus becoming an important tourist area of ​​the country.
